Hoping For a Good Word!

It's about that time of the month again when we start wondering if we will get submitted next month. We have heard of numbers close to ours getting a date. It is getting exciting! That is the first hurdle. The second one is that our dossier is accepted and not rejected due to an error. Ukraine government can be very picky about the slightest error. After the dossier is submitted, we will get an appointment date to go to Ukraine! That usually happens within a month or two. This may still seem far off to some of you but to us, it is the date we have been looking forward to.

For those of you who will pray for us, please pray that our dossier is accepted the first time. Next pray that the other two couples in our group will get to travel at the same time as us. It would be great to go as a group so we can encourage each other. And of course, please pray that the kids would still be available to us and that they would be kept safe.

You may have noticed that I added music to our post. There are other favorite songs on the play list. One of my personal favorites is "Might to Save". Every time I hear it I cry. I am so moved by the words "He can move the mountains". It is so real to me every time I see things progress in this adoption and in our past ones. It can be like moving a whole mountain and you just can't do it yourself. God is the might one and when He wills it, there is no stopping!

Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.

Hi Kevin & Pam,

I read your post on Kristy & Chad Wood's blog. They are good friends of ours...We live close to them and Kristy and I are in the same homeschool group. My husband and I are also in the process of adopting from the Ukraine! We will be finished with the paperwork/home study in the next couple of weeks and hope that our dossier is not rejected. It's great that you already know the two precious children you're adopting, but at the same time I'm sure the waiting is frustrating ...I'm praying for you and for them!

Hi Pam and Kevin;

I will continue to pray that things will go smoothly - actually I will pray that things will HURRY up so you can bring your children home. How exciting...sounds like it's getting closer.

Hi, I just found your blog from a comment you left on another blog. We have been home for two months now with our 12yo daughter that we met through a hosting program sponsored by a local church. My husband and youngest son put together some You Tube videos about our trips that are linked to our blog.

I love the way you put a scripture at the end of every post:)

PS - We met another couple during the camp and became friends with them. We were also hoping to travel together. It didn't happen during the first trip, but we were able to spend most of the time together when we both went for our second trips to pick up our children. It made the time in Ukraine so much better.

A very inspiring video! Please scroll to the bottom of our blog and turn off the music before you push play on the video. This way you will avoid having sound on both features.
